TileMarkets eCommerce website development was a challenging project, as the client requirements were very broad.

 

Introduction and Business Model development

 

Our client wanted to develop its presence online as a tile flooring wholesaler and distributor of hardwood flooring along with having the ability to sell online directly to all valuable customers. The project included designing the website and conducting photographs for the product line which included Marble tiles, Travertine tiles, Porcelain tiles, Hardwood flooring, Laminate flooring, Backsplash tiles, Ledgestone tile, Laminate flooring. Basically, client's intent was to sell products online that are commonly sold at a tile specialty store.

 

Process

 

Our project management team streamed line the project and developed a systematic logic, allowing our design and development team to focus towards developing strategies for each stage. We first developed the back-end allowing the client to utilize multiple warehouse location as the products were sourced from various locations. Once the backend development was completed and approved by the client we then started to work on user interface, our team explored various options keeping our strategy aligned with TileMarkets goal, then using our knowledge of eCommerce we built a custom website design yet meeting current market standard. This resulted in a beautiful front-end which allowed TileMarkets customers to find products within the first 3 clicks!.

Our exclusive design passed split tests that our procurement team carried out by utilizing third party software programs. Our in-depth knowledge of understanding TileMarkets ultimate goal and their business strategy really helped us not only correctly develop the scope of their project but it also helped us develop a functional website.

 

On-Going Process

 

As building a beautiful website is important, it is also important to have the website found over the internet, being found by the tentative customer is the most important part of an online business as the volume of customers are starting to heavy rely on finding the products via internet search engines.
